A ten-strong GB boxing squad, including nine boxers England, joined to a record of 150 athletes from 22 countries on opening day of the annual tournament Strandja in Bulgaria yesterday. GB Boxing Performance Analyst Kathryn Stuart reports.
Four Azerbaijani boxers are through to the semifinals of the tournament Strandja in Bulgaria. Azerbaijani boxers have successfully launched their campaign to win medals in Strandzha tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria. Javid Chalabiyev weighing 56kg, Mammadov Munasib least 49 kg and 64 kg to Elvin Isayev have beaten their rivals on day 1 of the tournament. Besides Azerbaijan, the tournament brings together boxers Bulgaria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Italy, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
On the road to the end Isayev, Elvin weighing 64kg, 49kg in Munasib Mammadov, Javid 56kg and 52kg Chalabiyev in Shirinov Abdurrahman in Belarus will take on Rustam Odinayev, Tinko Banabakov Bulgarian, Russian and Uzbekistan Sergei Vodopyanov Husanboev Olim respectively, reports AzerTAj.
